art principles 2010-2011: Process Reflection #1.

I have accomplished a great amount of things this week, I have progressed in my final project substantial amount. I faced one great challenge in this project and that was actually the most basic part of the project. The gesso is what got me because it dried in all different types of creases and lines. Ttfhe next step for my project is to completely cover my project in black paint (not including the drawings of me playing lax) and add make my opponent stand out as well as blend at the same time. I plan just to keep trucking on what I am doing. I am aiming to complete my project by the end of next week.

Art 21 #2

Cindy Shermen did not mean to become a serious artist but with a few minutes playing around with her new camra. She likes to make potraits of stereo typical examples of different people. This is very interesting to me because I like to hear different views on stereo type of people. In this video she attempted making a common Upper East Side older women. She has many different props for these types of art projects. She is a very interesting person because she has a dream job that she loves. This is not a typical, high paying job but it's a person loving what they do and living their own unique dream.

Paul McCarthy is an artist that likes to create blow up sculptures. I can not say this is terribly interesting to me but it has advanced my views on how many types of arts their are. Paul also works with his son that, they both enjoy their work and working with each other even more. Every body has different types fantasy about what they want to do for a living and I have to say, this is one of the most interesting type.

"lifes a grind"

Life's tough by its self but, with all of the troubles of my social life is adding on to it makes it more stressful. One of the things I look forward to most in my day is climbing the stairs to the art room and coming into the warm, welcoming environment. It's some where were I don't have to be the absolute jock that every body claims to be. It's a place where I can be my self and let my artistic side come out and take over, even though some days it is difficult for me to focus. On days that I can not focus you let me do some thing else thats productive but different at the same time. I can not tell you how much I appreciate this. It has really made a difference in the times that I needed some one to understand and no one else was. I am not looking forward to my five academic classes next term, but I feel with the patience art has tough me, I will be able succeed.

For my first artist I have studied  John Barry. His specialty is helping the crew set up. For people that do not realize this is a art of it's own.  This takes a lot of skill and patience, I have first hand experience because my father is a art director for his own company. and I have helped on the set of one of his major jobs.

Michael Ray Charles is a painter that has made his carrier in the topic of African Americans. His paintings have a rather strange appearance but when analyzing his paintings, he has more to offer than just a odd image. For instance, the photo below could be viewed as rather odd but when you really take a look at it, it has a deeper message.

My first steps of my Final art project

I see these two pictures of me will represent my project very well. In my project I see painting a big murual with these two picutres next to eachother. Above them would say,  “It’s easy to do anything in victory. It’s in defeat that a man reveals himself.” — Floyd Patterson

SB Acheology

When looking in my sketch book have realized that I have not spent as much time as I should have. This is extremely disappointing to me because I felt like I have let my self down. Never the less the time I have spent in my SB, I see that my drawing has changed dramatically for the better. My ability to draw nominal details have grown tremendously. This is a testament to anything is possible because if I can be Adaqui  at art people can do a lot of things
